Armed policemen runs towards main gate after firing the tear gas shell inside the premises of Thapathali Engineering Campus during the student protest on Friday December 19,2008. Hundreds of student activists of Nepal Student Union, a student organization of Nepal’s main opposition Nepal Congress Party, staged protest rally against Maoist autocracy despite leading the multi party government. Khatoon family came for releif in Nepal after they find no option in their homeland.

More than 35,000 people who have been displaced after the Saptakoshi river damaged dams in Western Kusaha region of Sunsari district are now taking shelter in local schools in the area.
