1st prize in Environment Category: Devotees worshipping on the river bank of bagmati during the last Monday of “Shrawane Sombar” at Pashupatinath Temple on Aug.13,2006, while temple volunteers throwing the wastes made by devotees on the holy river. The Bagmati river is worshipped by millions of Hindus in Nepal and India. In Hindu cosmos water is a life giving substance, and many devotees conduct daily rituals and takes bath in the river to purify the mind.

3rd prize in Feature Category: A child taking his morning meal, sitting on the floor of opened kitchen in a muddy hut of IDP’s (Internally Displaced People) camp, roofed at Naubasta village of Banke district on June 11, 2006. More than 1000 peoples along with their family live inside the camp, who escaped from the different remote hills of Mid-west during the period of deacde long conflict in Nepal.
