The ongoing strike called by the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) has also affected people returning home from neighboring country India in the unavailability of vehicles. After they were stranded in Nepalgunj, they carried out rallies in support of the strike. Because of the strike, vehicles have not been plying on the highways since last week. Not a single bus has come through Nepalgunj and other parts of the country. Those who were stranded at Nepalgunj expressed their agitation by taking out a rally on Wednesday April 12 2006. Similarly, protestors “blacked the face” of ward no.1 president of Nepalgunj Muncipality on wednesday. A group of protestors took him out from his residence at Dhamboji. Later, he was taken to the main street of Birendra Chowk to “black off” during the seventh day of general strike.(More Inside)

On Tuesday in Nepalgunj, nursing campus students clapped their hands for “Loktantra”, and participated on the protest rally out by Womens Teacher Association of Banke. The rally moved ahead, along with seven party’s local candidates on six day of general strike. (More Picture Inside……)

Protester taking out the mass rally during fifth day of general strike.On the day, people participated from different places of Nepalugnj and joined into single mass rally from Tribhuwan Chowk on Monday.
